Agnes Jean Dalziel

AGNES JEAN DALZIEL, died on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. after a valiant battle with lung cancer. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at 5 P.M., at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 819 Waller Avenue, Brookshire, Texas 77423. Jean was born July 6, 1929, in Newark, New Jersey, to Agnes McGregor and Richard Matthew Regan. She graduated from a local high school where she was a baton majorette. She married Ted Hill in 1951 and they were blessed with two children. Jean worked many years at Kemper Insurance in Summit, New Jersey and later for Leisure Village in Bricktown, New Jersey. She married Edward James Dalziel on October 1, 1976. Jean and Ed retired to St. Petersburg, Florida and in 2008 moved to the Katy area to be near family. In retirement, Jean remained an active mall walker, who enjoyed her favorite hamburgers and fries and a good glass of wine. Jean will be remembered for her mischievous smile and her wiry sense of humor. Jean is survived by her HUSBAND: Edward James Dalziel; BROTHER AND SISTER-IN-LAW: Richard and Diane Regan; DAUGHTER: Carol Jean Bennetts and SON: Lawrence Hill; SON-IN-LAW: Kim Bennetts and DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Jan Hill and GRANDCHILDREN: Christopher and Genevieve.
