Clyde Harold Brubaker

CLYDE HAROLD BRUBAKER, 83, longtime Pattison resident, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family, after a long, courageous battle with leukemia. Clyde was born January 4, 1927, in Clodine, Texas. The son of John Irvin and Mary (Maack) Brubaker, he grew up in Clodine and Richmond, and attended school in Missouri City. After graduating from Missouri City High School, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1945 - 1946. On June 3, 1947, Clyde married Maudine Love at the First Baptist Church in Richmond. They have made their home in Pattison since 1960 where they have been members of the Pattison United Methodist Church and Clyde had served as a church trustee. Clyde was a rancher and dairyman, and enjoyed taking care of his cows. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting. He was also a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and especially treasured the time he was able to spend with his family. Clyde leaves behind his WIFE OF 63 YEARS: Maudine Brubaker of Pattison; DAUGHTER: Dr. Cynthia Ann Norman and her husband, Lewis, of Duncan, OK; and SON: Daniel Harvey Brubaker and his wife, Paula Ann, of Pattison. He is also survived by his GRANDCHILDREN: Rebekah Rampey and her husband, Bryan, Michael Norman, Joshua Brubaker and his wife, Jennifer, Jacob Brubaker, Sarah Krupala and her husband, Chris, and Connie Brubaker; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Sabrina Rampey, Sawyer Rampey and Logan Brubaker; and many other dear friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Molly Anna Brubaker, and brothers, Kenneth Brubaker and Gordon Brubaker.
