Donald Curtis Young

Donald Curtis Young was born December 28, 1949, in Houston, Texas, the son of Lewis and Billie Rae Spears Young. He grew up and attended schools in the Aldine. Donald graduated from Smiley High School and then was employed with Western Electric/Southwestern Bell. Donald served his county in the United States Army from 1971 until 1973. He moved to Sealy in 1980, and later graduated from Blinn College. Donald was the owner of D.C. Young Paint Company. He also was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was a great craftsman. Donald loved spending time with his grandchildren. Donald was united in marriage to Susie Krumrey on December 24, 2000, in Bellville, Texas. He and Susie were active members of the Shepherd's Way Church in Sealy. Donald passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the age of 60, in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his LOVING WIFE: Susie Young of Sealy; MOTHER: Billie Rae Hutcherson of Sealy; DAUGHTER: Bridget Bradley and her husband, Brett, of Anderson, Texas; STEP-DAUGHTER: Nicole Rogers of Bellville; SON: Brandon Young and his wife Natasha, of Navasota; STEP-SON: Zach Rogers and his wife, Jackie, of Austin; SISTER: Sylvia Riddle and her husband, Wayne, of Humble; BROTHERS: Bo Young and his wife, Thea, of Humble and Bill Young of Sealy. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and dear friends. Donald was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Young.
