Hazel "Betty" Moltz

Hazel "Betty" Beth Moltz was born in Redding, California, on July 4, 1936, to Edith Furshong Rhoades and Addison Attley "Dusty" Rhoades. She graduated from Nevada City High School and took multiple additional educational classes during her life. She especially enjoyed Accounting and Photography. She loved dancing, especially the "jitterbug". Betty traveled over a large area participating in many different "walking" activities and earning numerous medallions. She had a passion for photography as was very evident by the thousands of pictures she always had around her. Betty treasured her children and grandchildren and loved them unselfishly. She has been "MOMO" for many years and has a lot of little trophies (pictures) for each and everyone of them. Her children are: Melvin "Skip" Butler and wife, Linda, Kathy "Katie" McKenzie and husband, Ron, Robert "Rob" Moltz and wife, Stacy and Barry Moltz and wife, Jene. Her 21 grandchildren are: Shawn Butler, Michael Butler, Melody Freeman, Veronica Butler, Julie Butler, Jim Soefje, Keith McKenzie, Greg Soefje, Amy Soefje, Kelli Grandmont, Nicholas McKenzie, Sarah Potts, Natalie Peace, Micaiah Moltz, Samara Moltz, Bralyn Moltz, Baker Moltz, Jaden, Journey, Jolie and Jamie. Her 11 great grandchildren: Hope, Quinn, Gavin, Keeleigh, Braden, Christian, Shiann, Jimmi, Camrynn, Kylee and Ashlyn. She had 5 sisters: Belva, Barbara, Shirley, Charlotte and Joan. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and two of her sisters.
