Todd Allen Krueger

January 27, 1975 — March 23, 2010

TODD ALLEN KRUEGER, husband, father, brother, son and best of friend, went to be with the Lord our Savior on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Todd was born January 27, 1975, in Houston, Texas to parents Gary and Nancy Remmert Krueger. He was baptized February 16, 1975, at St. John Lutheran Church in Cypress, Texas, and confirmed into Christian faith on May 14, 1989, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. He attended the Bellville schools and enjoyed playing basketball, football and track. He graduated in May 1993. While in his senior year, Todd enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program of the United States Army and served four years reaching the rank of E4 Specialist. He flew in the Black Hawk helicopters, serving as crew chief. Before coming home in August 1997, he was deployed to Bosnia. Upon returning home, Todd helped his father in the family business, and then began working for Rusty Schrader in the construction business. Todd became very efficient working with dozers, scrapers, backhoes and tractors, and he truly loved his work. He also took on another job of managing Circle B Ranch, which introduced him to the loving family of Curtis and Molly Bedrich, who have considered him their "adopted son." During this time, Todd was joined in marriage September 6, 2003, with Brandi Marie Henske at the St. James Lutheran Church in New Wehdem, and eventually built a home in New Wehdem. Todd then ventured into business with his brother, Chris, and formed a construction company where he was currently employed. The two brothers worked side by side, each respecting the other's opinion. On May 27, 2007, the Lord blessed Todd and Brandi with a precious daughter, Kerby Ellen. Todd was a loving and devoted father and cherished the time he spent with Kerby. He was a fantastic Daddy, loving husband, loyal brother, and a wonderful son. Todd also touched the lives of many people; his thoughtfulness and sense of humor spread widely. Whenever Todd had any spare time, he enjoyed fishing and quail hunting, especially with his Dad and Dustin. He loved just spending time with his family and friends. But most of the time, he found himself working on something, whether it was repairing broken items, mending fences, shredding or mowing, or just anything to be busy. Todd believed in hard work and exhibited that attribute at whatever he did. He took pride in any job he performed. Todd is survived by his loving wife of 6 1/2 years: Brandi, and their 2 1/2 year old daughter: Kerby; brother: Chris and his fiancé, Anna Golightly, and her children: Dustin and Stephanie; father and mother: Gary and Nancy Krueger; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Donnie and Jenny Henske; sister-in-law: Jodie Henske and special friend, A.J. McReynolds; grandmother: Edith Krueger; special aunt: Shirley Maeckel; aunts and uncles: Sue and Larry Krueger, Kathy and Sonny Slovak, Betty and Perry Thomas, Judy and Ronnie Robertson, Christine and Jerry Pieper; grandmothers-in-law: Mrs. Elden Mikeska and Mrs. Ellen Henske; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and especially Rusty, Brooke, and Mackenzie Schrader, Curtis and Molly Bedrich, and Edward Kasprowicz and fiancé, Jessica Koehn. Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dennis and Vera Mae Remmert, and Clarence Krueger, and uncles, Marvin Maeckel and Earl Ray Remmert.
