Grace Escobar Alday, 67, of Brookshire, Texas, passed peacefully from this life Saturday, November 26, 2016, surrounded by her family in Katy. Grace was born April 15, 1949 in Acuniã, Mexico, the daughter of Julia Escobar. She was raised in Del Rio, Texas, then moved to Mineral Wells, for the past 14 years of her life, she made her home with her daughter, Linda and her family, in Brookshire, Texas. Throughout her life, Grace worked as a cashier for numerous retail entities. She enjoyed spending time with her numerous friends with the Senior Citizens at United Way in Brookshire, as well as dancing and cooking. Perhaps her greatest love in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Grace is survived by her CHILDREN: Linda Vasquez and husband, Lorenzo of Brookshire, Texas, Patty Jimenez and husband, Erik of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Juan Manuel Alday and wife, Darcy of Mineral Wells, Texas; GRANDCHILDREN: Lily Vasquez of Brookshire, Texas, Kelly and Ashley Jimenez of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Julie, Emily, and Juan Manuel Alday, Jr., and Deziray Castillo, all of Mineral Wells, Texas; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Aaliya Ramirez, Paige Garrett, and Aiden Crow; SISTERS: Juanita Johnson and husband, Harold of Duncanville, Texas, Maria Cox and husband, Chuck of Del Rio, Texas, Olga Medina and husband, Alberto of Grand Prairie, Texas, Veronica Uribe and her significant other, Santana of Grand Prairie, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brother and parents.
