SC BELL, 95, a longtime resident of Pattison, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, in Katy.SC was born January 20, 1921, in Pittsburg, Texas.  The son of John Claude and Lela Senn Bell, he grew up and attended school in Pittsburg. He served his country honorably in the US Army Air Corps during World War II earning the rank of Sergeant, and was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. On October 4, 1943, SC married Hilda Kelley in Brooksville, Florida.  During his working years, SC was employed as a repairman for Exxon.  In 1946, he and Hilda moved to Kilgore where they lived until 1949, when they moved to Katy.  SC and Hilda have made their home in Pattison since 1982, where they have been active members of the Pattison United Methodist Church.  SC was also a member of both the Brookshire Masonic Lodge, #1066 AF&AM and the Pleasant Hill Masonic Lodge, #380, AF&AM, along with the AARP.  His hobbies included wood working, and pecan cracking. SC is survived by his WIFE OF OVER 73 YEARS:  Hilda Bell of Pattison; SON:  Truett Bell and his wife, Lynn, of Pattison; and DAUGHTER:  Lillie Beth Ruby, also of Pattison; GRANDCHILDREN:  Michael Truett Bell, Leslee Lynn Koch and her husband, Jason, Joshua Aaron Ruby and his wife, Molly, and Jennifer Ruby; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN:  Audrey Lynn Koch, Madeline Ruby, Caroline Ruby and Lachland Hacking; BROTHER:  John Franklin Bell of Waller; and numerous other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
