VERONICA GERTRUDE (BORSKI) CHALOUPKA, 85, of Industry, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Columbus, Texas. She was born January 1, 1931, in Anderson, Texas, the daughter of John Louis and Cecilia (Pasket) Borski. Veronica was baptized the day she was born in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, in Anderson. She took her first Holy Communion and was confirmed, in 1939. Veronica attended school, in Anderson and later years at Annunciation School and Incarnate Word Academy, in Houston. She received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education at the Incarnate Word College, in San Antonio. Veronica also received three certificates in Special Education. She married a very special man, Milton E. Chaloupka, on November 14, 1980, at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church, in Houston, Texas. After forty years of teaching, in Texas and Louisiana, she retired in 1991. Veronica was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Industry, where she served on the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Industry Volunteer Fire department Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of over 36 years, Milton Chaloupka of Industry; brothers: Rufus Borski and his wife, Clara, of Houston and Philip Borski and his wife, Helen, of Houston; sisters: Barbara Helfrich and her husband, James, of Mentz and Alice Bauer of LaGrange. Veronica was also survived by her special nieces and nephews. Veronica is preceded in death by her parents, John and Cecilia Borski, brother, Dominic Borski and his wife, Judy, brother-in-law, Joe Bauer, and infant sister. Honorary Pallbearers are all of her former students.
