Lessie Byrd Dunn Hargett

LESSIE BYRD DUNN HARGETT (LOLLY, LOLLIPOP) passed away March 23, 2017. Lolly was born in San Marcos, Texas on July 29, 1926. She married Eugene (Gene) Hargett in 1943.  Lolly enjoyed reading, and her church work. Her special joys were her family and friends.  Lolly enjoyed baking her chocolate cake for her family.  She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Lolly is survived by her children and their spouses: Eugene (Pete), Jr. and Carole Hargett of Conroe and Elizabeth and Ralph Latimer of Brenham. She was so proud of her grandchildren who included, Lisa Latimer Perkins and Tim, Amy Latimer Beck and Derek, Robert Hargett, Julie Hargett Heim and Carl.  Lolly’s great grandchildren brought her immense happiness and included Ross Slay, Garrett Slay and special friend, Judy Botello, Grace Bulgerin, Jake Bulgerin, Ian Beck, Abigail Beck, Kenley Heim and Blair Heim. Lolly was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene (Gene) Hargett. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to her care-givers at Kruse Village. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to an organization of their choice. As a special request, Lolly was a donor to the Willed Body Program, UT Health McGovern Medical School.
