DANIEL J. VINCIK, 66, of Bellville passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, in Bellville. Daniel was born on February 2, 1951, in Shiner, Texas, to Ernest and Evelyn Vincik. Daniel attended Shiner Catholic School for elementary until moving to Bellville. He excelled in football at Bellville High School and earned a full scholarship to Sam Houston State University, before graduating Bellville High School in 1969. Daniel played football all four years at Sam Houston State University and graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Daniel worked in the building and lumber industry all of his life, and in 1983, he and his brother, Ernie, took over the family business in Bellville. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Melinda Cronin. Daniel enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his granddaughter, Claire, to whom he was known as “grandpappy”. Daniel loved classic cars, road-tripping, good food, and Colorado vacations. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him. Daniel is survived by his wife: Melinda Vincik; his daughter: Keri Vincik; his son: Brandon and wife, Adrianne Vincik; grandchild: Claire Vincik; brother: Ernie and wife, Annette Vincik, all of Bellville. He is also survived by his nephew: Aaron Vincik, of Austin; nephew: Jacob and wife, Lindsay Vincik, of Port Lavaca. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Evelyn Vincik.
