Gildardo A Sierra

June 8, 1950 — April 2, 2017

Gildardo was born in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico. Growing up as an older sibling in a large family, Gil always took his responsibility as a "big brother" seriously. He loved his family and worked hard to provide for each of them.Gil moved to Texas with his bride, Estela, and became the foreman on 5F Ranch. He cared for the animals and land as if it was his own. From sunrise to sundown, he molded dedication, hard work, and discipline for his sons, William and Terry. Gil was known for his generosity and genuine selflessness. He cared for strangers like family and would personally go without in order to help others.Over 10 years ago, Gil and Estela moved to Fairchilds, TX, where they planted rows of citrus trees on their land and left a legacy for their grandchildren. Gil loved nothing more than the sound of children laughing and playing. Even though his eyesight failed, he would request that his grandchildren come and visit just so he could hear them laugh and experience their joy. Gil loved deeply and was a true gentlemen even in his final hours.
