Aida Herrera

AIDA HERRERA, 51, of Pattison, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Aida was born June 8, 1969, in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras, the daughter of Maximino Villatoro and Alicia (Talavera) Herrera. In the 80s, Aida traveled from Honduras to the Galveston area before making her home in Pattison. She was employed as a cook at the Chappel Hill Sausage Company in Chappel Hill, Texas. Aida enjoyed connecting with her family and friends on Facebook. She also enjoyed shopping, always liking to look her best. She had a huge heart and always loved helping others in need. She was a strong woman and a great example to her children.

She is survived by her daughters:  Kelly Santamaria and husband, Cruz, and Nicole Otero; brothers:  Maximino Villatoro and wife, Osiris, Oscar Herrera and wife, Sandra, and Denis Chavez and wife, Sonia; sisters:  Idalia Villatoro and husband, Santiago Hernandez, Zaida Chavez, Bessy Hewlett and husband, Ben, and Mirna Scandiffio; grandchildren:  Abby Santamaria, Jayden Santamaria, and Damian Santamaria; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Aida is preceded in death by her parents, Maximino and Alicia Villatoro.

AIDA HERRERA, 51, de Pattison, Texas, falleció el domingo 24 de enero de 2021 en su casa rodeada de su familia.

Aida nació el 8 de junio de 1969 en Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras, hija de Maximino Villatoro y Alicia (Talavera) Herrera. En los años 80, Aida viajó desde Honduras al área de Galveston antes de establecer su hogar en Pattison. Trabajó como cocinera en Chappel Hill Sausage Company en Chappel Hill, Texas. Aida disfrutó de conectarse con su familia y amigos en Facebook. También le gustaba ir de compras, siempre le gustaba lucir lo mejor posible. Tenía un gran corazón y siempre le encantó ayudar a los necesitados. Ella era una mujer fuerte y un gran ejemplo para sus hijos.

Le sobreviven sus hijas: Kelly Santamaria y su esposo, Cruz, y Nicole Otero; hermanos: Maximino Villatoro y esposa Osiris, Oscar Herrera y esposa Sandra, y Denis Chavez y esposa Sonia; hermanas: Idalia Villatoro y esposo, Santiago Hernandez, Zaida Chávez, Bessy Hewlett y esposo, Ben y Mirna Scandiffio; nietos: Abby Santamaria, Jayden Santamaria y Damian Santamaria; y numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos, otros miembros de la familia y amigos.

Aida es precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Maximino y Alicia Villatoro.
