ALICE M. (HARRELL) REPKA WOEHST, 90, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away Monday, January 9, 2018, in West Monroe, Louisiana. Alice was born September 1, 1927, in Friendswood, Texas, the daughter of Arthur Green and Opal Ida (Rogers) Harrell. She grew up and attended schools in the Houston area, graduating from High School in 1944, in the Heights area. In 1957, Alice moved to Hempstead, where she lived for the next 20 years, then back to Houston, before retiring to Bellville. A loving and affectionate mother and grandmother; Alice’s love was her family and she was always smiling. She would make all of her daughter’s clothing and was an amazing cook and received awards for arts and crafts, quilting and crocheting. Alice also enjoyed gardening and tending to her yard. She had a passion for music and was a member of the Austin County Civic Chorale. Of Irish descent; she was a true Texan. She is survived by her daughters: Marice Lindsey of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Cynthia Chavers and her partner, George Leal, of Fort Worth, Rose De Blieux and her husband, John, of West Monroe, Louisiana, and Betty Myer of Canyon Lake; her sons: Bobby Repka and his wife, Betty, of Hempstead, Rickey Repka and his wife, Barbara, of Monaville; brother: Charles Dodd and his partner, Ann, of Shepherd, and 15 grandchildren.
