Almabel Martinez, 35, of Katy, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in Houston, Texas.

Almabel was born August 12, 1985, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Imelda Reyes. She grew up in the Houston area, graduating from Mayde Creek High School in Katy. Almabel was employed in the inventory control department at American Medical ID. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the movies.

She is survived by her mother: Imelda Reyes Calderon of Brookshire; fiancé: Gabriel Carvallo of Katy; daughter: Zoe Natalia Carvallo of Katy; stepfather: Margarito Calderon, Sr. of Brookshire; sister: Michelle Martinez and fiancé, Raul A. Martinez, of Houston; brothers: Mario Martinez of Houston, Alex Reyes, Mauro Calderon, and Margarito Calderon, Jr. all of Brookshire; nephew: Ricardo E. Morales of Houston; niece: Isabella J. Martinez of Houston; and grandmother: Paula Reyes Reynaga of Mexico.

Almabel is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dario Reyes.
