Beatrice Faye (Wendt) Finch passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2022, one day after her 93
rd
birthday.
Beatrice was born to Julius and Bertha (Ehlert) Wendt on February 19, 1929. She grew up in the Pattison, Texas area where she met and married Odell H. Finch in 1947. They made their home on the family homestead and were blessed with three daughters, Linda Jo, Marsha Ann, and Ava Beatrice. She was known as “Mimi” to her six grandsons, one granddaughter, and eleven great-grandchildren.
For fifteen years, Beatrice owned Bea’s Bouquet Flower Shop in Brookshire, Texas. She served as an Election Judge for Waller County and, from 2007 to 2014, served on the Pattison Water Board. For 36 years, Beatrice proudly played the church organ for the Pattison United Methodist Church. She also gave her time to the Women’s Society of Christian Service, taught Sunday school, and quilted with the church quilters. Beatrice was a 4-H Leader, Waller County Fair Association Board Member and formed the Waller County Go Texan Committee, Go Texan Scholarship, and Go Texan BBQ Team. She also served as a delegate to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and enjoyed riding the Salt Grass Trail Ride with family and friends. Beatrice was truly dedicated to her community, church, and family.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda Jo Behsudi and husband, Gul, of Maryland, Marsha Ann Noskrent of Pattison, and Ava Beatrice Quast and husband, Michael, of Fredericksburg; grandchildren: Joshua Behsudi and wife, Brooke, of Washington DC, Adam Behsudi and wife, Lauren, of Maryland, Brian Diezi and wife, Tammy, of Pattison, Jacob Diezi and wife, Wendy, of Bellville, Mike Quast, Jr., and wife, Gina, of College Station, Mark Quast of Clear Lake, and Marla Niebling and husband, Gary, of Fredericksburg; great-grandchildren: Arick Diezi and wife, Meagan, Shaun Warfield and wife, Kaylie, Wyatt Moore, Claire Quast, Travis Quast, Brooke Diezi, Brianna Diezi, Brody Diezi, Briley Diezi, Zacary Behsudi, and Eleanor Behsudi; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband: Odell Finch; parents: Julius and Bertha Wendt; and son-in-law: Ronnie Noskrent.
