Benito P. Ybarra, Sr., 79, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Benito was born March 1, 1943, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Benancio and Casimira (Padilla) Ybarra. He grew up and attended school in Carrizo Springs. Benito was employed as a concrete contractor. He also took pride in working on ranches, breaking horses, and riding “that one” bull. In his free time, Benito loved listening to and playing music with his accordion and guitar. He also enjoyed studying the Bible and would preach to all who would listen. Everyone that met him experienced his great sense of humor and his corny jokes.
He is survived by his daughter: Bonnie Worthington and husband, Edward, of Brookshire; son: Benito P. Ybarra, Jr. and wife, Beverly Ann, of Bellville; grandchildren: Zackery Worthington, Rhiannon Worthington, and Benjamin Ybarra; sisters: Bernardina Ybarra-Gutierrez, Irene Lemon, Maria Carranza, Susie Gill, and Rosa Flores; brother: Mauro Ybarra; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Benito was preceded in death by his parents, Bernancio and Casimira Ybarra, and brothers, Guadalupe Ybarra and Jose Ybarra.
