BENJAMIN HAROLD "B.H." HUBBARD, 94, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, in Houston, Texas. B.H. was born July 3, 1921, in Beasley, Texas, the son of Jesse Miller and Beulah Sloane Hubbard. He grew up and attended schools in Beasley. B.H. married Louise McAnally, in October of 1941, together they raised seven children. He served his country during WWII and was Honorably Discharged in 1943. He was employed with the City of Houston, road and bridge department for several years, before he retired. B.H. was also a Volunteer Firefighter in Spring Branch for 12 years and was on the Brookshire Water Board for 18 years. He was united in marriage to Angelique M. Mire, on May 25, 1971. B.H. and Angelique made their home in Brookshire, where he enjoyed Cajun music, Cajun food and dancing, especially club dancing. B.H. is survived by his daughters: Aurilla Higgins and her husband, David, of Van, TX, Julia Lockstedt of Van, TX, Jan Brueggeman of Houston, TX and Sharon Wood of Hempstead, TX; son: Buddy Hubbard of Manvel, TX; brother: W.B. Hubbard and his wife, Louise, of Cypress. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 17 great great-grandchildren and special friends; Beverly Adams of Katy, TX, Sandra and Airrion Jackson and Airriona Jackson, all of Brookshire, TX. B.H. was preceded in death by his wife, Angelique Hubbard, who passed away June 19, 2012, daughters, Georgia Hubbard and Judith Divin, great-granddaughters, Lauren Hairston and Mya Wallace, sister, Jesse Mae and brothers, Mack Hubbard, Norman Hubbard, Sr., J.B. Hubbard and Bryant Hubbard.
