Bennie Ann Hobbs

November 20, 1948 — April 11, 2023

My beloved wife Bennie Ann (Sengenberger) Hobbs, 74, of Pattison, Texas, went to join our father in Heaven on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in Katy, Texas.

Bennie was born November 20, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas, to Benjamin “Ben” and Margaret (Munk) Sengenberger as their only child. She was united in marriage with Larry Hobbs in San Antonio, Texas. Bennie and Larry were able to experience many places during Larry’s military career before making their home in Pattison, Texas. Bennie worked several jobs such as convenience store manager and relief manager. She furthered her education, becoming more proficient in her computer skills. Bennie was able to utilize these skills to protect our country. Her recent job was helping the residents at Brookwood Community. Bennie was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookshire and loved her church family. She had a lot of love for the people around her. Bennie and Larry have celebrated holidays together and, on occasions, have worked other people’s shifts so they could enjoy their families during the holidays. Bennie also shared her life and love with Larry’s family; his sister Linda, the oldest, and brother-in-law Chuck Stewart of Indiana who are now deceased, and brothers and sisters-in-laws Darrell and Debbie of Indiana, Murv and Debi of Florida, Kyle and Barb of Indiana, and Randy and Mary of Texas. She enjoyed being around Larry’s family, since it was larger. However, at times it was hard for her to understand brothers and sister love for each other. In her spare time, Bennie enjoyed camping, reading books, sewing for herself and others, cooking, and baking. She had the ability to develop her own recipes based on her cookbook recipes. Bennie also delighted in traveling and seeing GOD’s world from a distance away.

When Bennie left this world to be with God, she always claimed she was going home to see her daddy. Bennie had the deepest love for her dad and now she is walking with him and in GOD’s presence. Her many friends and husband, Larry, will miss her and her friendship dearly.

Honey, rest in peace and wait for me. When my job is done on earth, I will join you in Heaven. Love, Larry.
