Benny Wayne Philipp

Benny Wayne Philipp , 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Pattison, Texas on September 16, 2024.

Benny was born November 17, 1948, in Bellville, Texas to Billie Frances Wilson and Ben Philipp.

Benny grew up on his family ranch and attended the area schools. During his high school years he enjoyed working with animals and was an active member of the local FFA Chapter and graduated from Royal High School in 1967.

On July 26 1972, Benny married the love of his life, Verosa Jones, in Richmond, Texas.  The couple was blessed with 4 sons.  They made their home in Pattison, Texas, where he made a living doing carpentry work and ranching.

Playing his guitar, singing gospel songs and gardening were some of Benny’s favorite pass-times, but being with family and friends was what he enjoyed the most

Benny is survived by his wife of 52 years: Verosa;  sons:  David Philipp and wife, Stephanie, of Comfort, Thomas Philipp and wife, Shelly, of Pattison, Mark Philipp and wife, Jennifer, of Needville, and Benjamin Philipp and wife, Sarah, of Pattison;  brothers: Clay Philipp and wife, Susan, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Brian Philipp and wife, Janie, of Richmond;  Sisters:  Cheryl Black of Junction, and Amy Fluitt of Orchard; grandchildren:  Amber Philipp and Garrett Philipp of Comfort, Wallace Phillip and wife McKenna of Rock Springs, Ashley Philipp of Mexico; Jessie Philipp of Pattison, Lauren Haylee and Jed Philipp of Comfort, Hadessa, Azalia, and Rachel Philipp of Pattison; great-granddaughter:  Alora Philipp of Sealy, and numerous family members and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents.
