Bernice Evelyn (Frank) Blum

BERNICE EVELYN (FRANK) BLUM, 97, of Kenney, Texas, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018, in Brenham, Texas.She was born October 17, 1920, in Bellville, Texas, the daughter of Arno E. Sr., and Norma (Mewis) Frank. Bernice grew up and attended schools in the Bellville area, graduating from Bellville High School, Class of ‘38. She was united in marriage to Robert H. Blum, on November 16, 1939, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Bellville. Bernice and Robert made their home in Kenney, where they were blessed with a son, William and a daughter, Brenda. She was employed as a bookkeeper and cashier for First National Bank and Austin County State Bank in Bellville. Bernice also worked for Texas Southeastern Gas Company, San Bernard Electric COOP and Four County Auction in Industry.She is survived by her son: William L. Blum and his wife, Lois, of Katy; daughter: Brenda Blum of Kenney; grandchildren: Scott Blum and his wife, Denise, of Fate, Robyn (Blum) Schulze and her husband, Travis, of Katy, and Will Hartnett and his wife, Regina, of San Angelo; great grandchildren: Cameron Blum, Paige Schulze, Connor Schulze, Jessie Evelyn Hartnett and Addie Grace Hartnett and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blum, parents, Arno, Sr. and Norma Frank, great granddaughter, Riley Faith Blum, sisters, Ima Jane Lubojasky and Maxine Dickehut and brothers, Hubert Frank and Arno Frank, Jr.Pallbearers are:Scott Blum, Robyn Schulze, Will Hartnett, Travis Schulze, Blake Frank and Don Dreyer.Honorary Pallbearers are: Janie Dreyer, Dave Dickehut, Ben Lubojasky, Kenneth Blum, Brian Lubojasky and Trey Frank.Friends who wish may make memorial gift to the:St. Mary's Episcopal ChurchAltar Guild24 North MasonicBellville, Texas 77418or to the charity of their choice
