BETTY JOYCE (FREITAG) LANGHAM, 88, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in Katy, Texas. Betty was born February 16, 1930, in Houston, Texas, to Otto Freitag, Sr. and Dorothy (Smith) Freitag. She had worked as a bank receptionist and was an active member of the Bellville United Methodist Church.Betty’s lineage included such famous persons as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. She always put family first and took pride in cleaning her son’s football helmet and uniform. One of her proud achievements was singing on a Houston radio station when she was sixteen. Visiting a casino was one of her favorite past times. Betty loved to dance. The jitterbug was one of her favorite dances because it made her feel like she was in the movies. Betty is survived by her husband: Charles Langham of Bellville; three sons: Aubrey Redwine and wife, Cindy, of Bellville, Mark Redwine and wife, Erin, of Conroe, and Charles Redwine of Cleveland; two daughters: Charlotte Riley and husband, Ron, of Lubbock, Linda Fowler of Marble Falls; Grandchildren Chris, Kevin, Amy, and Lisa Redwine, Courtney Shields, Cameron Losee, William Fowler, and Elizabeth Fowler. Great Grandchildren Benjamin, Jace, Jared, Colt, and Conner. She is also survived by her sister Dolores Ballard of Channelview. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Dorothy Freitag, brother, Otto Freitag, Jr. and grandson, Jared Redwine.
