Betty Burgess Verret

Betty Burgess Verret, 88, of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in Sealy, Texas. She was born August 7, 1936, in Morgan City, Louisiana, the daughter of Alvin and Violet Burgess. She grew up in Louisiana where she graduated from school. Betty was united in marriage to Larry Verret, on December 8, 1956, in Berwick, Louisiana. They had three daughters, Dana, Kerril, and Jodi. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting and painting. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Those who knew her were instantly drawn by her warm spirit and big smile. Betty is survived by her daughters: Dana Huddleston and her husband, Wayne, Kerril Tucker, and Jodi Jett, and her husband, DJ; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
