Bisenta Rodriguez

BISENTA LEMOS RODRIGUEZ, 74, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Katy.

Bisenta was born October 13, 1944, in Fulshear, Texas, the daughter of Marcos and Geneva (Salazar) Lemos. She was united in marriage to Abel Rodriguez. They made their home in Brookshire and were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pattison. Bisenta was of the modern women of her day and loved to be in the kitchen with modern tools. She worked in the food and restaurant industry and managed a school cafeteria.

Bisenta loved her dogs, enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas, and reading magazines. She loved listening to Elvis Presley, but took real pleasure in listening to her husband, Abel Rodriguez, sing and play his guitar. Although she adored all her children, she took great pride in her only son she called “Sonny Boy”.

“Mom was a loving mother, sister, wife, aunt and Diva! She was one of the kindest people you would ever meet, she opened her heart to everyone and she will be sorely missed.”

Bisenta is survived by her husband: Abel Rodriguez of Brookshire; daughters: Ruth Rodriquez of Brookshire, Jo Ann Rodriguez Booth of Huntington Beach, CA, Patricia Rodriguez Rochon of San Bernadino, CA, Lisa Rodriguez Moore of Dallas, and Abel Rodriguez, III of Katy; son: Abel Gabriel Rodriguez of Spring; grandchildren: Alex Rodriguez, Nicholas Rodriguez, Amanda Moore, Elizabeth Rochon, Sabrina Rochon, Joseph Rochon, and Michelle Rochon; four great-grandchildren; brothers: Joe Lemos, Ricky Lemos, and Tony Lemos; and sisters: Delfina Munoz Lerma, Hortense Lemos-Fluitt, and Betty Lemos.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Lupe Lemos; and brothers: Manuel Reyna, Marcus Lemos, and Bernard Lemos.
