Bobbie Rue Lane

BOBBIE RUE LANE, 95, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 10, 1929, in Clarendon, Texas, the son of Roy Finis and Namie Fowler Lane. Bobbie grew up and attended school in Jacksboro, Texas and graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1946. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served until 1952. After his discharge, Bobbie enrolled at Texas Technological College where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1955. Bobbie was employed at Convair, and later at Daniel Industries until his retirement. He was united in marriage to Mary Harrison, on December 20, 1952, in Lovington, New Mexico. In his spare time, Bobbie enjoyed traveling, swimming, and reading. He is survived by his wife: Mary Lane of Bellville; sons, Bart Lane and Johnny Lane of Bellville; granddaughters, Hillary Lane and Wendy Guise of Bellville; and great-grandchildren, Lucas Guise, Connor Guise, and Rigel Alexander of Bellville. Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents: Roy and Namie Lane; sister, Billie Jo Cox; and brothers, Leroy Lane and Rex Lane; and son, Michael Lane.
