Charles Earl Stark

Charles Earl Stark of Poteau, Oklahoma, was born March 18, 1940, in Bellville, Texas to Alexander John and Hazel Louise (Krueger) Stark and passed away March 16, 2019, in Poteau, Oklahoma, at the age of 78.

He earned a Bachelors of Science degree and a Masters of Education degree from the Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas. Charles was of the Methodist faith. He was a Junior High and High School football coach, Assistant Athletic Director, Food Service Director, and was in Administration for the Houston School System. Charles loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Charles will be dearly missed by many whom loved and knew him.

He is survived by his wife: Katherine Stark of Poteau, Oklahoma; daughter: Kimberly Kay Stark of Barling, Arkansas; sisters: Nancy Louise Maass of Brenham and Carolyn Ann Bunch of Bellville; four nephews; two nieces and numerous other relatives and a host of many friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander John and Hazel Louise Stark.
