WAYNE “Doc” NORRIS, 87, of Bellville, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at his home, in his favorite recliner. He was born March 25, 1930, in La Porte, Texas, the son of Charles Ralph and June (Mason) Norris. Wayne grew up and attended schools in the La Porte area, graduating from La Porte High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps, during the Korean Conflict. After graduating from the University of Houston, he attended the University of Texas Dental School. Wayne married Laurie Houser, on August 28, 1954, in Pasadena, Texas. Wayne established a private dental practice serving Spring Branch for 25 years. He moved his practice to Waller, where he continued to practice for the next 24 years. After retiring, they made their home in Bellville, where they had many wonderful friends. Wayne was a member of the Bellville United Methodist Church and attended the Community Bible Study. He enjoyed listening to music, playing many different musical instruments, but was well known in the Bellville area for playing the harmonica. Wayne is survived by his daughters: April White and her husband, Stephen, of Bellville, and Julie Casady and her husband, Joe, of Houston; sister: Donna Clark and her husband, Forrest, of Tow, Texas; brother: Dudley Crittenden and his wife, Kim, of La Porte; grandchildren: Guy White and fiancé, Kesley Howard, Jeana Casady, Clay White and Jason Casady; and his best pal: Buddy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Norris, parents, and sister, Myrna Lee Downs.
