Charles Jerome Peters

CHARLES JEROME PETERS, of Bellville Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the age of 75 in Tomball Texas. Charles was born August 14, 1948, in Bellville Texas, to Harry Charles and Lois Lorene Powell Peters. He grew up in Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School in 1966. After graduation, he attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville,earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972, and was employed as a Drilling Rig Supervisor in the oil and gas industry for 26+ years. Staying close to his roots, he lived in Bellville, where he served his community as well as maintained his family’s farm. As a young man he was an altar server at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He later served on the Bellville City Council,became a part of the Austin County AgriLife Horticulture Committee, and was a member of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church Knights of Columbus #9268. Charles is survived by his daughter: Charleen Holman and her husband, Rick Holman, of Spring; son: Stephen Peters and his wife, Cherry Peters, of Splendora; grandchildren: Sidney, Laila, Liam, and Jude; sister-in-law: Pam Peters of Alvin; niece: Janice Dylla of Sugar Land; nephew: Robert Peters; and a host of other family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Lois Peters; brother: Powell Peters; and sister: Elaine Peters. Pallbearers are Charleen Holman, Rick Holman, Sidney Bailes, Liam Holman, Laila Bailes, Jude Holman, and Joe Garcia.
