Cheryl Leeann Barron

August 28, 1961 — August 21, 2024

CHERYL LEEANN BARRON, was born August 28, 1961, in Richmond, Texas, and became of a citizen of God’s Glorious Kingdom on August 21, 2024.  Cheryl, the oldest of four, grew up on a ranch in Simonton, Texas.  Having Chavez as her last name gave her the opportunity to be first to grace her graduation stage at Lamar High School. She spent her earlier years working at AMD, she also blessed the classroom as a substitute teacher.  She finished her career working at the deli department at Wal-Mart.

The color purple is a representation of royalty, Cheryl was the Queen of her kingdom.  She was very much the glue that held the family together.  Her favorite team was the Houston Texans, they represented her undying loyalty to where she was from.  Her favorite movie was “Steel Magnolias”, and she loved Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds perfume.

Everyone can a test to Cheryl having a top-secret clearance with the government the way she protected her phone… she had an unbreakable code.

Her best friends were Liz, Lisa, Hilda, and David Trejo.  Cheryl loved her family and friends, but above all she loved God.  She was the most unselfish person you could have been blessed to know.

A cherished daughter, dedicated mother, and wife, and loving grandmother.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 38 years: Jimmie Barron of Sealy; her mother: Emelia Chavez of Richmond; and her children: Natalia Hyde and her husband, JC, Emelia Barron and her husband, Eduardo Apodaca, Jimmie Barron and his wife, Megan Thompson, Stevi Barron and her husband, Pollo, Elena Edge and her husband, Devyn; her grandchildren: Isabella, Elida, Annmarie, Dysmas, Emery Rose, Mila, and Madison Rae; her siblings: Linda Perez and her husband, Ruben, and Peter Chavez; and numerous other family members and dear friends.  She lived an unconditional and unselfish loving life for her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father: John Chavez, Sr., and brother: Johnny Chavez, Jr.
