Christopher Beck Cardiff

Christopher Beck Cardiff, 68, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

Chris was born on March 13, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to Robert and Eleanor Cardiff. He was raised in Pattison, Texas, and graduated from Royal High School in Brookshire, where he played multiple sports and was involved in several organizations. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, where he met his soulmate, Susan. He lived out his passion rice farming in Katy, Texas, in his early years. Chris was a strong man of faith and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Brookshire for many years. In recent years, he started attending LifeBridge Community Church in Sealy. Chris dedicated years of service to his community, serving on the Royal ISD school board, running the Brookshire Baseball Little League while also serving as a coach, leading the Royal Athletic Booster Club, and serving as a Boy Scouts Cubmaster. He had a passion for the outdoors, and his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

Chris is survived by the love of his life for 43 years, Susan, their three sons: CJ (Durelle), Daniel (Kelli), Jacob (Beth), seven adored grandchildren: Adalyn, Natalee, Kamden, Owen, Cooper, Taylor, and Cade. Chris is also survived by five siblings: Elizabeth Beamon, Lynn Cardiff, Cathy Cornett, Glen Cardiff, and Jeff Cardiff, numerous nieces and nephews, many loving friends, and three loyal pups.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Cardiff, and his father, Robert Cardiff.
