Clyde Little Jr., age 86, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. His courageous battle with a long term illness was an inspiration to his family and friends. His sense of humor and wit will long be remembered by all who knew him. Clyde was born in Paris, Texas, March 14, 1929 and lived in many places due to his father''s construction work. They settled in Houston where he graduated from Reagan High. He attended Texas A & M (class of ''49) pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a member of the Corps of Cadets and The Fighting Texas Aggie Band. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1952. Clyde was a well renowned structural engineer with Brown and Root for 35 years. His many special projects took him to interesting places, including Milano, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Alaska. He also served honorably as a Major in the United States Air Force. Clyde and his family lived in Pasadena, Texas where he was actively involved in church, community affairs and was Scout Master of Troup 49 at First Presbyterian Church. He and his family had many adventurous vacations and camping trips. Highlights of his life included the wonderful trips he and Suzie took on their Honda Goldwing with their many friends. Clyde enjoyed raising and showing Shetland Sheepdogs, successfully winning multiple titles. Clyde and Suzie retired in Bellville, Texas in 1994 where they enjoyed country living. He was a member of St John Lutheran Church, Men in Mission, Stephen Ministries, Lions Club, Austin County A & M Club, Can Care, Emmaus and the Romeos lunch group. He is survived by his devoted wife, Suzie of 46 years and their children, Greg, James, David Clay, John, Jeff, Jill and husband Wayne, Kaaren, Diana and husband Duane and grandchildren Christopher and Kathryn, as well as numerous friends, extended family and his four Shelties.
