CURTIS RAY WIEDERHOLD, 88, of Katy, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
Curtis was born on October 8, 1932, in Lexington, Texas, the son of Dee George and Betty Lou (Eller) Wiederhold. He graduated from Charles Bender (Humble) High School, class of 1950. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, receiving two Bronze Stars, the U.N. Service Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. On August 30, 1952, Curtis was united in marriage to Martha Jenkins. As a civilian, Curtis served as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a 50-year member of the Spring Masonic Lodge # 1174. Curtis was also a member of the Katy Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting and sharing these passions with others. Curtis enjoyed sharing memories with his family and organizing family reunions. His grandsons were the light of his life.
He is survived by his daughter: Cynthia Fluitt of Katy; grandchildren: John Aaron Fluitt of San Francisco, California and Curtis Daniel Fluitt and wife, April, of Alvin; brother-in-law: Lane Jenkins of Livingston; sister-in-law: Ann Wiederhold of Onalaska; brother-in-law: Howard Sanders of Georgetown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife: Martha Wiederhold; parents: Dee and Betty Wiederhold; brother: Cliff Wiederhold; and sister: Betty Sanders.
