Dana Allen Deluca

February 7, 1960 — June 17, 2024

DANA ALLEN DeLUCA, 64, of Fulshear, Texas, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, after a brief (80 days) but valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.  He peacefully passed surrounded by his loving family at home.  He was born February 7, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Frank Paul Jr. and Dora (Swicord) DeLuca.  The early years of Dana’s life were spent in Los Angeles, California before his family moved to the Houston, Texas area.  Dana attended schools in the Houston area, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1978.  After graduation, he attended HCC and later became the Vice President of Biotics Research Corporation.  Dana was united in marriage to Gabrielle (Mackey) DeLuca, on August 6, 1994, in Katy, Texas.  Dana and Gabrielle originally lived in the Houston area before moving to Katy, Texas from 1998 to 2006. In 2006, Dana and Gabrielle moved their family to their current home in Fulshear, Texas.  In his spare time, Dana enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, camping, hiking, astronomy, woodworking, tinkering on his Mustang, and traveling with family and friends.

Dana is survived by his wife: Gabrielle DeLuca of Fulshear; son: Joseph DeLuca of Fulshear; daughter: Kailey DeLuca of Sugar Land; and his many dear friends (especially Ray Wilson, Robert Noonan, and Kendall Nix).  He was preceded in death by his parents:  Frank and Dora DeLuca; and sister: Gina Foster.

Dana will always be remembered as a beloved husband, proud father, devout coffee drinker as well as an animal softie (especially for labrador retrievers) …

His final resting place will be at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Frenstat, Texas.

Dana’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Altus Hospice for helping to provide the support needed to facilitate Dana’s wishes for specialized care at his home surrounded by his family.
