Darlene Brown

Darlene (Saltamachia) Brown, 67, of Hempstead, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021, in Houston, Texas.

Darlene was born September 15, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Joe and Joan (Cook) Saltamachia. She was employed as an office manager. On August 2, 2007, Darlene was united in marriage to Mark Brown in Pattison, Texas. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Christmas was her passion year-round.

She is survived by her husband: Mark Brown of Hempstead; daughters: Joanna Brown of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Amanda Sliger of Austin, and Kaitlyn Brown of Conroe; sons:Shawnn Mahrer and wife, Tia, of Houston and Barry Hicks and wife, Jessica, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren: Brooklyn, Taegen, and Lukas; parents: Joe and Joan Saltamachia; brothers: Glenn Saltamachia and wife, Donna, of Belleville, Illinois, Kerry Saltamachia and wife, Julie, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Tim Saltamachia of Fulshear; aunt: Carol Stack of Kenner, Louisiana; beloved Yorkshire Terrier: Yoda; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her sister: Cynthia Gatus.
