Dolores Joy Alexander

DOLORES JOY (DOYLE) ALEXANDER , 87, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2022, and was immediately united with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born in Gonzalez County, Texas on April 23, 1935, to William Cecil Doyle and Mabel Francis Halliburton Doyle. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Troy Alexander, children Vickie Marie Alexander-Booth (Dan), Glen Sterling Alexander (Tami), Linda Gay Alexander Green (David), Jannett Jean Alexander Reiner (John). Grandchildren Andrew Alexander (Jessica), Stephen Alexander (Mandy), Mary Phillips (Chris), John Michael Alexander (Danielle), Travis Green (Sarah), Dale Green (Missy), April Shelton (Anthony), Derrick Reiner (Kayla), Michelle Joy Henkelman (Brad), and Richard Reiner. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by brothers Douglas Wayne Doyle (Janis) and Wilbur Linden Doyle and many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by parents Cecil and Mabel Doyle, brothers William (Bubba) Doyle (Charlotte), Billy Doyle (Jeanette), and Mitchell Doyle.

Dolores was a wonderful homemaker, she loved cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and searching for the perfect recipe. She loved having all the family for Christmas, birthday and family celebrations at The Farm. Many memories will be cherished for years to come through shared stories, photos, and home-made calendars. She loved keeping up with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family well and served them every day with love. She had also been a faithful member of Elm Grove Baptist Church in Waelder, TX.
