In Loving Memory of
Dolores Marie Balusek
October 30, 1943 – May 6, 2024

Dolores Balusek, beloved wife, mother, grandmother or memaw as she was known, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away May 6, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1943, to Hugo and Margaret Somer Brast in Sealy, Tx. Dolores was a beacon of light in the lives of all who  knew her. Her unwavering love touched the hearts of everyone she met. She had a heart that knew no bounds.

On May 18, 1968, she was united in marriage to Victor Balusek. Victor and Dolores exemplified the true meaning of partnership and commitment. Their love story was one of deep respect, mutual support, and unwavering devotion. Together, they weathered life's challenges with grace and strength, building a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come.

Dolores was a loving mother to her two children Vincent and Valerie. She instilled in them the values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance, guiding them with patience and wisdom as they navigated life's journey. She took great joy in watching her children grow into compassionate, caring individuals.

As a grandmother, Dolores cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Joshua, Alexis and Kamryn. She attended countless school events, sports games, and choir concerts, always beaming with pride at their accomplishments.

Dolores had a passion for baking and spent countless hours cooking and perfecting her recipes. She found solace and joy in baking and shared her baked goods with those around her. You could always count on her to get a card and or a dewberry pie for any special occasion.

In addition to her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Dolores was a loyal friend and confidante to many. Her compassionate heart and listening ear provided comfort and support to those in need, and her friendship was a blessing to all who knew her.

Dolores's memory will be forever cherished by her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, extended family, and friends. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched with her love, kindness, and grace. She was clothed with strength and dignity; she laughed at the days to come. She spoke with wisdom, and faithful construction was on her tongue. She watched over the affairs of her household and did not eat the bread of idleness. “Many women do noble things, but she surpassed them all.” May everything we do honor you, because everything you did honored the Lord.

A celebration of Dolores's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Christian City Fellowship.

Dolores's love and light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, guiding us through the darkness and reminding us of the precious gift of life. Rest in peace, Dolores. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
