Dolores Marilyn Morgan

Dolores Marilyn Morgan, 83, of Bellville, Texas, peacefully passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019.

She was born February 19, 1935, in Centropolis, Kansas, the daughter of Jodia A. and Gladys M. (Boswell) Cole. Dolores spent most of her life in the Ottawa, Kansas area.  She was united in marriage to Leonard A. Morgan on October 29, 1954, in Ottawa. While living in Kansas, Dolores was employed as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. Dolores and Leonard moved to Houston, working as a teacher and nurse’s aide in Spring Branch ISD. She then worked for Aetna Insurance in Houston for 10 years. In 1998, Dolores moved to the quaint town of Bellville. Her faith in the Lord only grew as a member of the First Baptist Church Bellville.

She is survived by her daughter: Cheryl Denise (Morgan) Erickson and husband, Ronnie, of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren: Sacajawea Lynn Paulus, Kenneth Shane Paulus, Diona Nicole (Paulus) Arena, Jason Andre Paulus, Grant Alexander Paulus, Candice Renee (Schrader) Lopez, Jennifer Lynn (Schrader) Riley, and Sarah Marie Schrader; great-grandchildren: Nastassja, Isabella, Darren, Alyssia, Jordin, Kendra, Sophie, Bailey, Avery, Audrey, Emma, Kaitlyn, Matthew, and Mikhail; great-great-grandchild: Bowen; sister: Rosemary L. Turner of Katy; and brother: Alvin W. Cole and wife, Bonnie, of Houston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Jodia and Gladys Cole, husband, Leonard Morgan, daughter, Sharon D. (Morgan) Schrader, sisters, Nancy L. Jones and Lois M. Dodd, and 2 infant sisters.
