Doney Ray "Wild Man" Larive, Sr.

DONEY RAY "Wild Man" LaRIVE, SR., 73, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, in Houston, Texas. He was born July 24, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Justin and Beulah (Ayo) LaRive. Doney grew up and attended schools in the Jeanerette area.  He served his country in the United States Army and United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged in 1965.  Doney was then employed as a welder in a fabrication shop for years.  He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bellville and Knights of Columbus in Bellville. Doney is survived by his son: Doney LaRive, Jr. and his partner Mitzi Williams, of Round Rock and Jacob LaRive,U.S. Army Airborne, and his wife, Britney, of Georgia; son: Robert Alexander of Idaho; grandchildren: Santiago Fonseca of Spring, Tiffane Fragd and her husband, Jarred, of Cypress, Jon Harris of Cypress, Cassandra LaVassar of Bellville, Justin LaRive of Round Rock and Bella LaRive of Georgia; great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Aiden, John, Madison, Lillian and Logan; brothers: James LaRive and Justin LaRive, all of Jeanerette, Louisiana; sister Sherry LaRive Hull Bradley of Jeanerette, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Justin and Beulah LaRive, brother, Jesse LaRive, daughter Shawn LaRive and spouse, Laura D, Payne.Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
