Donna Ann Peterek

Donna Ann Peterek, 69, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was born August 6, 1952, in Weimar, Texas to parents Ernest I. and Mary Elizabeth (Hanzelka) Peterek.  She grew up and attended school in Brookshire, graduating from Royal High School.

Donna had been employed as an instrument technician for Texas Instruments, Haliburton, GeoSource and Sercel.  She also worked at Brookshire Hardware.  After her Dad’s passing, Donna moved back home to Brookshire to help raise her siblings.  She enjoyed the serenity that fishing afforded and playing softball.  But most of all, Donna treasured the time she was able to spend with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest I. and Mary Elizabeth Peterek, sister, Mary Vern, and her brother, Larry Peterek.  Survivors include her sister:  Susan Zepeda and her husband, Jay, of Brookshire; brothers:  Buddy Peterek and his wife, Diane, also of Brookshire, Frank Peterek and his wife, Gayla, of Katy, John Peterek and Marvin Peterek, both of Brookshire; aunt:  Joyce Hanzelka and her husband, Joe, of Weimar; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
