Dusty DeWayne Falk, 51, a lifelong resident of Bellville, Texas, passed away suddenly Friday, July 5, 2024, in Sargent, Texas.
Dusty was born October 2, 1972, in Bellville, Texas, the son of Douglas Madison Falk, Jr. and Deborah June Mann Falk. He grew up and attended school in Bellville where he played baseball and football, and showed pigs in the Austin County Fair from the age of eight until he graduated in 1991.
Dusty enjoyed participating in cook-offs with his friends. He loved working cows with Mr. Bill at the ranch, going fishing at the river, and was an avid gun collector. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, drinking beer with his best friends, and cooking. His property in Sargent was his happy place and he treasured the time he spent with his girls teaching them about life and how to take care of and fix things. Dusty always told them to “do it yourself” and not ask for help because they knew how to do it. Because of their dad, they learned how to be independent.
Dusty was employed for over 33 years with Western International Gas and Cylinders in Bellville. He wore many hats over the years, and he was their “go-to” for just about everything. His knowledge was beyond most, and his work ethic is what made him so valuable to the company that he loved so much. In the last few years, Dusty crawled back in his big truck and started driving again and his route five days a week was to Louisiana. His passion was to be in his truck doing his job and getting back to Bellville.
Dusty was a great guy, always making someone’s day brighter with his funny jokes. He was very old-school. He believed in buying used and bartering on the price.
