Eric Lawson Smith

ERIC LAWSON SMITH, 52, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020, in Houston, Texas.

He was born June 13, 1967, in Houston, Texas, the son of William Lawson and Sharon Joyce (Snyder) Smith. Eric grew up and attended schools in the Houston and West University area.

He was united in marriage to Laura Goodwin, on December 27, 2007, in Bellville, Texas. Eric was self employed as a contractor. He was an avid outdoorsman, Eric enjoyed gardening, loved riding motorcycles, and was a gifted musician.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Smith of Bellville; children: Matthew and Joshua; grandchildren: Ceanna, Matea and soon-to-be Oliver Lawson; step-children: Aaron, Steven (Julie), Jaime (Brett) and Nick; step-grandchildren: Tryston, Haleigh, Blake, Sarah, Blair and soon-to be Steven Edward; brother: Craig and half-sisters: Kim and Carrie; and numerous other dear relatives and friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon and William Smith, brother, Buddy, half-brother, Chris and half-sister, Cricket.
