Estela Castillo Sierra

Estela was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico. As a child, she loved going to the beach. She met Gildardo Sierra, the love of her life, while in Mexico. They married and moved to Alvord, TX to build a life together. She and Gil managed 5F Ranch, and though she was petite, she could hold her own and out ride most of the men at the ranch. She loved working with all the animals and tending to her various gardens. As a proud mother to William and Terry, Estela spent years working at Alvord Elementary just so she could be around her boys. In 1996, the family moved to Pattison, TX, and she continued her quest to be their biggest cheerleader throughout their school years. Estela loved being outdoors bass fishing, hunting, and camping any chance she got. For the past 2.5 years, she fought the bravest fight of her life and battled lung cancer with fierce determination to live each day to the fullest. She peacefully passed into Eternity on Saturday, April 1st holding Gil's hand and surrounded by her boys and closest family.
