Eugene Henry Krenek

Eugene (Gene) Krenek was born to Henry and Mary Hajek Krenek on July 16, 1934, in Industry, Texas.

Eugene was employed by the Bellville School District for 25 years as the Transportation Director and Bus Mechanic. He also worked for Priesmeyer Brothers.  All of his life, he was a part-time mechanic and rancher.

Eugene loved to hunt and fish.  He loved to fix cars/trucks, to do woodwork, and to drive his John Deere tractor.  Eugene loved his little dog, Prissy. Every morning, he would take her out in his four-wheeler.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn Schulz Krenek. Eugene married Evelyn on January 20, 1957, at Welcome Lutheran Church. He made his home in Bellville, Texas where he was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn, nieces: Mary Gutierrez and husband David, Bobbie Perez and husband John, Rosemary Knebel and husband Gary; nephews:  Samuel Susen and wife Gina, and Franklin Mark Susen.  He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents Henry and Mary Krenek, father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Bertha Schulz, brother Clement Krenek, sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Franklin Susen, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Theodore and Lorene Hahn, and Raymond and Esther Klump, nephews Jerry and Carl Edward Klump.


Pallbearers are Russell Becker, Leroy Brending, Stuart Hendersen, Gary Knebel, Wilfred Krenek, and John Perez.

Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Fick, David Gutierrez, Donna Hendersen, Josh Kalich, Randy Lange, Allan Partain, David Reznicek, Franklin Mark Susen, Samuel Susen, Kenneth Ueckert, and Brandon Vincik.
