EVA (DAVIE) WILLIAMS, 76, of Fulshear, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at her home. Eva was born May 5, 1942, in Harrisburg, South Dakota. The daughter of Harrold M Davie and Mary Jane Alberta (Harmer) Davie, she grew up in Harrisburg, South Dakota, received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Sioux Falls College and her Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Operations Research. On October 23, 1969, Eva married William “Bill” Williams in Grants, New Mexico. During her working years, Eva used her expertise in many different industries including education, pharmaceuticals, insurance, energy, and space. She served as Mayor Pro Tem of El Lago, Texas, and was appointed as Commissioner for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing by Governor George Bush. Eva is survived by her husband: William “Bill” Williams of Fulshear; daughters: Denise Sue Davis and her husband, Dan, of Portage, Michigan, Marshall Lynn Walters and her husband, John, of Shelbyville, Michigan, and Verladyne Louise Williams of Houston; and sons: William “Bill” Williams, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of Houston and Clark Baxter Williams and his wife, Katrina, of El Lago, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew, Jeremiah, Breck, Kirstin, Hunter, Tyger, Emmett, Denali, Christopher, Brianna, Skylar and Parker; great grandchildren: Dash and Charlotte; and her sister: Barbara “Babs” Boyd of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Art Davie, and her sister Verla Sweere. A Celebration of Life Party will be planned for the summer.
