Florine Severin Stuessel

FLORINE FLORENCE (SEVERIN) STUESSEL, 82, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, in New Braunfels. She was born January 15, 1941, in San Felipe, Texas, the daughter of August and Frieda Wittenburg Severin. Florine grew up in San Felipe, graduating from Sealy High School. She married her first husband, Lee Brast, in 1961 and live in Sealy until his passing in 1973. She was united in marriage to Clifton Dale Stuessel, on January 5, 1974, in Sealy, Texas. Florine and Clifton moved to Cat Spring in 1975 and in 2010 they moved to the Austin area. Florine was a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA). In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, shopping, watching soap operas, and socializing with her friends. Florine is survived by her children: Debra Ramirez of Alleyton, and Kenny Brast and his wife, Jennifer, of Austin; grandchildren: Garrett Brast, Dylan Brast, and Breanna Brast; great-grandchild: Leon Brast; and numerous other family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Laura Stuessel; first husband: Lee Brast; brother: Erwin Severin; and parents: August and Frieda Severin.
