Frances Anna Hegemeyer

FRANCES ANNA ZETTEL HEGEMEYER, 101, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Bellville. She was born March 21, 1922, in Nelsonville, Texas, the daughter of John and Anna Schimara Zettel. Frances grew up in the Nelsonville area and attended Santa Anna schools. She was united in marriage to Herbert Hegemeyer, in the Nelsonville Brethren Church on November 15, 1941. Frances enjoyed tending to her garden, was a nurse’s aide at Sweetbriar Nursing Home in Bellville, and worked alongside her husband farming and ranching. She is survived by her grandson: Gene Hegemeyer of Houston; granddaughter: Michelle Hegemeyer of Houston; great-grandson: Chase Hegemeyer of Houston; and numerous other family and dear friends. Frances was preceded by her husband: Herbert Hegemeyer; parents: John and Anna Zettel; and son: Gene Hegemeyer. Pallbearers are Gene Hegemeyer, and Chase Hegemeyer.
