Geraldine Gruener Leppard

GERALDINE GRUENER LEPPARD was born May 20, 1934, in Bellville, Texas, the daughter of Gustove A. and Pauline Hartman Gruener. She grew up and attended school in the Heights area and graduated from John H. Regan High School in 1952. On December 19, 1952, Geraldine married John A. Leppard in Houston, Texas. Geraldine and John lived in Germany for several years before making their home in Cypress, where they raised their three children. They have most recently made their home in Brookshire. A member of Christ Lutheran Church in Pattison, Geraldine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling to various locales including Wyoming, Alaska, Barbados and St. Croix. She especially enjoyed attending spring training camp for the Astros in Florida. And Geralding always looked forward to trips to Lake Travis and Fredricksburg. Geraldine passed away Friday, September 14, 2012, at a Bellville hospital at the age of 78. She is survived by her HUSBAND OF ALMOST 60 YEARS: John A. Leppard of Brookshire; CHILDREN: Peggy E. Leppard of Brenham, Mark Leppard and his wife, Kim, of Pattison, Steve Leppard and his wife, Susan, of Round Top; GRANDCHILDREN: Faith Leppard Bailes, Sarah Leppard, Amanda Leppard, Emma Leppard, Rebecca Leppard, Hannah Leppard, Sam Leppard and Jed Leppard; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Colton Bailes and Brooke Bailes; BROTHERS: Bob Gruener and his wife, Jackie, and Ronnie Gruener and many other family and friends. Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents and brother Earl Gruener.
