Gloria Jean Neumann

Gloria Jean Neumann, 78, of Industry, Texas, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on July 28, 2022, in Houston, Texas.

She was born in Huntsville, Texas, to Roy & Geraldine Schulz on December 27, 1943.  She spent most of her childhood in Huntsville, Texas, but also lived in New Mexico and abroad in Germany.  She moved to Houston shortly after she graduated from high school.  On July 25, 1964, she married the love of her life, Wayne Neumann, in Houston, Texas.  They were blessed with two sons, Troy and Heath.

Gloria enjoyed volunteering for various organizations.  She was involved in Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association, The Blue Bird Circle Resale Shop, The Bluebonnet Society of Austin County, Industry Extension Ag Group, Boys and Girls Club of Austin County, and Industry Methodist Church Council. Gloria also served as a member of the Bellville Hospital Board.  She enjoyed playing bridge, bible study, traveling, book clubs, antique collecting, and decorating for Christmas. She was known for her outstanding cooking and wonderful dinner parties. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her grandkids. She rewarded each grandchild on his or her twelfth birthday with a trip to anywhere in the United States. Taking a trip with Mimi was special, and her grandchildren look back on those adventures with fond memories. Mimi will always be remembered and loved for her devotion to her family and for her generous spirit.

Gloria is survived by her husband Wayne, sons: Troy and his wife, Debby, and Heath and his wife Debbie, granddaughters:  Lauren and Bailey, grandsons: Carter, Matthew, and Kyle, brother: Scotty Schulz.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents: Roy Schulz, Geraldine and Thomas Blackwell, brothers: Raymond Schulz and Charles Schulz.
