Harold (Hal) Rudolph Ash, Jr., 90, of Fulshear, formally of Houston, passed away, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. Hal was born in Longwood, PA on January 8, 1927 to Harold Rudolph Ash, Sr. and Edith L. (Kinckiner) Ash. He was raised by his grandmother Carolina E. Kinckiner, and graduated in 1946 from West Chester High School, West Chester, PA. He married the love of his life Kathleen (Kathy) Margaret Beam on June 24, 1950. Hal served in the US Army and was stationed in Italy at the end of WW2. He was employed as a manager with E. I. DuPont, retiring in 1976. After 30 years as owner of Kathy’s Kiddie Corner Daycare, Hal and Kathy fully retired and moved to Galveston in 2006. In 2014, they moved to Fulshear to be closer to family. Hal enjoyed boating, fishing, and model trains. He was active in the creation of Bear Creek United Methodist Church and is currently a member of Brookshire First United Methodist Church.Hal is survived by his wife of 67 years Kathy, of Fulshear. Children; Steve Ash of Huntsville, TX; Debbie Ash and Randy Ash and wife Joan all from Fulshear. Grandchildren; Shelby Brock, Stephanie Lee, Dustin Ash, Jennifer Ash Cranek, Jennifer Naae Albanese, and Jared Naae. Great grandchildren; Braden Brock, Caitlin Ash, Jacob Ash, Samantha Cranek, and Lexi Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Kenny and Stuart Ash.
