Harry Winston Brast

Harry Winston Brast, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

Harry was born on September 7, 1936, to Herbert Emil Brast and Elenora Hoff Brast in Bellville, Texas.  He grew up on his family’s farm west of Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School in 1955.  Harry proudly served and was honorably discharged from the US Army Reserves.  He married Gloria Jean Noble and moved his young family to Houston in 1964.  Harry worked as a machinist all of his life and retired in 2001.  He was an active member of Woodman Life and St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville.

Harry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria, and three sons:  Stephen and Kathleen Brast of Bellville; Winston and Amy Brast of Houston; and Clifford and Diana Brast of Houston.  He has three loving grandchildren:  Allie and Nick Parasco, Clay Brast, and Cole Brast; and two great grandchildren:  Mason and Peyton Parasco.
