Harry William Parnell, Jr.

HARRY WILLIAM PARNELL, JR., 64, of Brookshire, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in Brookshire.

Harry was born on June 15, 1954, in Galveston, Texas, to parents Harry William Parnell, Sr. and Vivian Hayek Parnell.  He graduated from Zapata High School in 1974.

On February 14, 1976, Harry married Florinda Guillotte in Katy, Texas.  They have made their home in Brookshire, Texas, where Harry was employed as the Night Superintendent at Orizon Industries and has been employed there for the last 20 years. Harry was a member of the Second Baptist Church West Campus.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family. Harry coached his sons’ Little League baseball teams when they were young and umpired.  He enjoyed knife and leather working, loading shells and shooting. Harry was avid outdoorsman who loved whitetail deer hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife:  Florinda Parnell of Brookshire; sons:  Harry William Parnell, III, Timothy Paul Parnell and wife, Tracie, of Katy, and Brian Wayne Parnell and wife, Rachael of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren:  Sabryna Parnell, Laine Parnell, Hannah Parnell, Mary Parnell, Stephen Parnell, Gage Parnell, Micah Parnell, Aubrey Parnell and Chloe Parnell; siblings:  Brenda Hayek, Debbie Berry, Jeannie Asbell, Carol Clark, Gregory Parnell, Gary Parnell, Deborah Dupree, J. R. Moehle, Steven, David Moehle; Loving Foster parents:  Jim and Irma Moehle of Monaville; daughter-in-law:  Jennifer Parnell;  numerous other relatives and many dear friends.  Harry was preceded in death by his birth parents, and three brothers: Alfred Moehle, Danny Parnell and Glenn Parnell.
